(Ja): 9月に訪れたイスタンブールで宿泊した宿の“インテリア”。写真にあるペットボトル（命の次に大事な「水」）とバックパックは僕のモノなので、要はベッド以外ほとんど何もないとも言えるのだが……。でも、ロケーション抜群のすっごくいい宿ですよ！

(en): This photograph is the pool of the hotel in Singapore visited in September. Since the side is glass, it seems to be a tank seen from outside.

This week's challenge: "Body".

(en): This is the body of the musical instrument at my room.

(ja): 今週のお題はいろんな解釈が成り立ちそうなので悩むよなぁ……。結局はオーソドックスな線（？）に落ち着き、自宅にあるベースの“ボディ”にした。こうしていつもと違う角度で眺めるのは、なんとも新鮮である。

(ja): イスタンブールの新市街を撮った1枚。モスクが建ち並ぶ旧市街と比べると、この新市街はとっても現代的な街並みだ。さながらイスタンブールの渋谷・原宿といったところか。路面電車も走っている。

(Ja): ラオスで飲んだ想い出のビール“ラオスビール”（BeerLao）を取り寄せ、友人としこたま飲んだ。宴の主役が“大集合”。

(en): Since I wanted to drink the beer "BeerLao" drunk when I visited to Laos, I ordered the beer of Laos. And I drunk much BeerLao with the friends. This is the bottles which remained after the party.

(Ja): トップバナーにも使っているお気に入りの写真。イスタンブールという都市は、西洋と東洋がクロスするとても魅力的でユニークな外国だ。

This week's challenge: "Structure".

この写真は、先日足を運んだトルコのエフェス遺跡にあるセルシウス図書館。ほんと見事な造形ですね……。このエフェス遺跡は紀元前10世紀頃から建設が始まった古代都市で、ヘレニズム、コリント、イオニアなどの流れをくむ建造物が見られる（現在残っている建物の多くはローマ時代のもの）。日がな1日こうした古代都市をぶらぶら歩き、気に入った場所に座り込んで読書をしたりしながら時を過ごす……。素敵な1日でした。

This week's challenge: "Best of 2003".

今年最初のPhoto Fridayのエントリーは、年初ということで遅ればせながら「Best of 2003」にチャレンジ。

この写真は、2003年の夏に富士山に登ったときに山頂で撮影した日の丸だ。ずっと「一度は登りたい」と思っていた富士山だが、そのきっかけになかなか恵まれなかった。そんな折り、2002年にネパールでヒマラヤトレッキング中に現地の人から「富士山に登ったことがある（意訳＝お前は日本人のくせにないの?？）」と言われ、「むむっ！」次の夏に実行することを決めた。

寒い、風は強い、道は悪い、空気が薄い……、道のりは本当に厳しかった（日頃の修練が足りないだけ？）。けれども登りきった途端、それまでの全ての苦労を水に流せるほどの達成感を味わえた。これぞ僕の「Best of 2003」だ。富士山未体験の人は2004年の目標の1つにしてはどうですか？ 僕が登ったときのメモはこちらにエントリーしてあるのでご参考までに……。

This week's challenge: "Motion".

川下りがやりたくて訪れた長瀞ライン下り。写真は上手に船をコントロールしてくれた船頭さんのりりしい後ろ姿。岩場ギリギリ（10センチほど！）をすり抜けたり、ユーモアあふれるトーク（解説）をしてくれたりと、かなり楽しめた。今年は3月上旬から運行（12月上旬?3月上旬運休）。

This week's challenge: "Perspective".

以前にいった「陶の宿 あやとり」で部屋から臨んだテラスの様子。草鞋がいい味出してる（？）。

この「あやとり」は客室に露天風呂が備わり、森に囲まれた中でゆっくりとお風呂をいただけて疲れも吹き飛ぶ。また、料理は土地のものが中心でバラエティ豊か、味もいい。さらにはたくさんの地酒もある。なんとも美味しい静かなお宿だった。

(En): The tree of the cherry photoed in the house side this morning. It is likely to bask in the morning sun and a feeling seems to be very good. It is said that today of the cherry tree of Tokyo is full bloom. It is spring of Japan.

(Ja): 今朝、自宅そばで撮影した桜の木。朝日を浴びて実に気持ちよさそう。東京の桜は今日が満開だそうです。日本の春です。

This week's challenge: "Atmosphere".

(En): The morning of the small town at which it stayed while carrying out the trekking of Himalaya. This photograph is the situation of the town photographed from the window of the room. The whole town got wet in the morning dew, and, as for the way in woods, was covered by fog.

(Ja): この写真は、ヒマラヤをトレッキングしているときに泊まったゲストハウスで向かえた朝のようす。午前6時に人々の声で目を覚まし、部屋の窓から外をパチリ。これが街の中心（小さな街です）。街全体が朝露に濡れ、森のほうは霧に覆われていた。このあと、午前7時くらいにはスカっと晴れわたり、眼前にアンナプルナの8000メートル級の頂（いただき）を望むことができた。

(En):This photograph is "the ruins of the bridge of water service" in a small town called Selcuk (Turkey). The bridge is crossing the central part of a town. There was a rampart of an old castle in the point of this bridge.

(ja): およそ1ヶ月のご無沙汰になってしまったPhotoFryday、 今週のお題は「Parts」。この写真はトルコにあるセルチュクという小さな街にある「かつての水道橋の一部」だ。このように街の中心部を、橋の残骸（遺跡）が横断している。この橋の先には、古城の城壁が残っていた……。
